Welcome to UnconsciousAuthority.com (the “Site”), the home of The Unconscious Authority by Joe Hammer. We understand that privacy online is important to the people who use our Site. This statement explains how we collect, use and protect personal information from visitors who browse the Site (“Visitors”) and from those who order the book, request coaching, mentorship or private sessions, invite Joe to speak, or otherwise do business with us (“Customers”).
“Personally Identifiable Information” means any information that identifies or can be used to identify, contact or locate a person, including name, mailing address, phone number, email address and payment information. It does not include information collected anonymously or demographic information not connected to an identified individual.
When you order the book or submit one of our forms (contact, coaching and mentorship, or speaking requests), we collect the information you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, mailing and shipping address, organization, event details and your message. We may also collect basic, non-identifying information from all Visitors, as described under Cookies below.
In addition to collecting information directly, we use trusted third-party service providers, such as payment processors, shipping carriers and email services, to process orders and communicate with you. Payment card details are entered with and handled by our payment processor; we do not store full credit card numbers on this Site. We do not control how these third parties use information, but we ask them to disclose how they use personal information provided to them. Some act solely as links in the delivery chain and do not store, retain or use the information given to them.
We use Personally Identifiable Information to fulfill book orders (including signed and personalized copies), respond to inquiries, schedule coaching, mentorship, private sessions and speaking engagements, and provide information you request. We may email Visitors and Customers about the subject matter of the Site, including Joe’s books, programs and events.
We share information only with the service providers described above, as needed to fulfill your requests, and as required by law (see below). You may opt out of receiving information or being contacted by us at any time.
Personally Identifiable Information collected by UnconsciousAuthority.com is securely stored and is not accessible to anyone other than Joe Hammer and those who help fulfill your orders and requests, and only for the uses described above.
Visitors and Customers may opt out of receiving emails from us by following the instructions in any email, or by reaching us through our Contact Page.
Yes. Cookies help the Site work properly, remember preferences, keep the ordering process secure and help us understand, in aggregate, how the Site is used. We may also collect technical information such as IP address, internet service provider and browser type to analyze trends, administer the Site and gather broad demographic information. You can set your browser to refuse cookies, though some features may not work as intended.
We will disclose Personally Identifiable Information to comply with a court order, subpoena or request from a law enforcement agency, and when reasonably necessary to protect the safety of our Visitors and Customers.
Sensitive information is protected by encryption when sent over the Internet, and we review our security practices regularly. While we take commercially reasonable measures to maintain a secure Site, electronic communications and databases are subject to errors, tampering and break-ins, and we cannot guarantee that such events will not take place.
